2009 Community Calendar


The Sesquicentennial Celebration Committee published a 4-CD set featuring musicians from Alleghany County. Combined, there are 117 songs featuring over 200 Alleghany County musicians.

Collected by Ernest Joines of the Alleghany Jubilee, these CDs are bound to be collectors items! Vintage recordings digitally mastered by Bobby Patterson at the Heritage Studio, Galax, VA. Cover design and photography by Jeff Halsey of Imaging Specialists, Inc., Sparta, NC.

CDs can be purchased for $10 each or $48 for the set. They're being sold in Sparta at Radio Shack, Kermit's Barber Shop, Alleghany Jubilee, and Imaging Specialists. They can also be ordered online at the Sparta Store.
